Das Wissenschaftskonzept der Psychoanalyse wird gegen das normativ-reduktionistische Glaubensbekenntnis einer neopositivistisch verstandenen Einheitswissenschaft abgegrenzt. Mit den sprachphilosophischen Konstruktionen der »analytischen Philosophie des Mentalen« läßt sich nach Ansicht des Autors das hermeneutische Wissenschaftsverständnis der Psychoanalyse gegenüber funktionalistischen Theoriemodellen erhärten.

Psychoanalysis as science
The author differentiates the conception of psychoanalysis as science from the normative reductionist commitment of a neopositivist science. He believes that the language-philosophical constructions of the »analytic philosophy of the mental« make it possible to consolidate the conception of a hermeneutic discipline as opposed to functionalistic theory models.

Die Psychoanalyse in deutsch-, französisch- und englischsprachigen Ländern gebraucht nicht nur die jeweiligen Sprachen, sondern ist auch durch die jeweilige Kultur geprägt. Theorie und Praxis der Psychoanalyse wie auch besonders ihre interdisziplinäre Forschung unterliegen starken lokalen Einflüssen. Im Theorietransfer werden ihre Inhomogenität und Historizität sichtbar.

Psychoanalysis in French, German, and English-speaking countries not only employs the national language, but is also moulded by the corresponding culture. Theory and practice as well as interdisciplinary scholarship are subject to potent local influences. As theory is transferred from one setting to another, the heterogeneity and historical specificity of these influences becomes evident.

Der Autor meint bei Marx eine »Psychoanalyse des Kapitals« und bei Freud eine »politische Ökonomie des Unbewußten« gefunden zu haben. Er zeigt dies am Beispiel des Geldes, mit dessen Bedeutung Marx wie Freud sich auseinandergesetzt haben: Bei Marx wird die gesellschaftliche Genese des Geldes verfolgt und sein Fetischcharakter, der auf einer Verselbständigung seiner ursprünglichen Mittlerrolle beruht, deutlich gemacht. Bei Freud geschieht die Defetischisierung des Geldes, indem er die in vielen Mythen lebendige, aber der Verdrängung unterlegene symbolische Gleichsetzung von Geld und Kot aufzeigt, also das Verdrängte bewußtmacht.

Marx and Freud on money
The author discerns a »psychoanalysis of capital« in Marx and a »political economy of the unconscious« in Freud. He demonstrates this with the example of money whose meaning both Marx and Freud discussed. Marx traces the societal genesis and clarifies its fetishistic character which results from the reification of its original mediating function. The clarification of this fetishistic character simultaneously annuls it. In Freud the defetishization of money occurs as he demonstrates and thus makes conscious the symbolic equation money = feces which, though repressed, still lives on in many myths.

Der ursprüngliche Begriff der projektiven Identifizierung bei Melanie Klein wurde intrapsychisch als eine defensive Phantasie verstanden. Hier werden erweiterte Konzeptionen aufgeführt, die u.a. die kommunikativen, interpersonalen Vorgänge stärker betonen (Rosenfeld, Bion, Ogden). Projektive Identifizierung trägt in der analytischen Situation zu den eher archaischen Übertragungs-/Gegenübertragungsprozessen bei. Ihre Beachtung fördert das Verständnis der bipersonalen Natur der analytischen Beziehung und verhindert bei entsprechender Bearbeitung die Entwicklung von therapeutischem Stillstand oder therapeutischer Mesallianz.

The concept of projective identification. Report on the conference »Projection, Identification, and Projective Identification«, May 27-29, Jerusalem
Melanie Klein originally intended the concept of projective identification as an intrapsychic, defensive fantasy. In this paper other concepts are presented which stress the communicative, interpersonal aspects more heavily (Rosenfeld, Bion, Ogden). In the analytic situation, projective identification promotes the rather archaic transference-countertransference processes the consideration of which will forward the understanding of the bipersonal nature of the analytic relationship and, through adequate elaboration, will avoid a therapeutic standstill or a therapeutic misalliance to develop.
